Obituary of Alexander George Machovec

Alexander George Machovec passed away in May 2023 at his home in Denver, Colorado. He was 31 years old and is survived by his two-year-old daughter (Rylee), mom (Nina Jaramillo), dad (George Machovec), sister (Rachel), stepdad (Leroy Jaramillo), stepmom (Valerie), stepbrother (Ryan), stepsister (Kayte), aunt (Diane Froude), aunt/uncle (Risa and Chuck), cousins, nephews, and nieces. Although Alex was born in Arizona, he moved to Denver as a toddler where he lived until his passing, except for a three-year period when he lived in Santa Fe, New Mexico. He spent two years at Denver’s South High School and later graduated from Denver Academy.

Alex was known for his kindness, broad smile, and happy demeanor. He deeply loved his daughter and sister. Among some of Alex’s joys in life were skateboarding, traveling, reading, doodling, hats, scarves, bolo ties, necklaces, rocks, music, and just hanging out with family and friends. Growing up, Alex made many trips to Duluth, Minnesota with his grandparents (Mac and Gerry) where he particularly loved the Northshore of Lake Superior. Alex was well read and deeply interested in spiritual things for a better understanding of the universe.
