Obituary of Erne W Hesser

Erne Hesser, 67, of Aurora, CO, revved his way to the finish line on October 14, 2023. Born on December 27, 1955, in Colorado, Erne was a true engine of joy and a master of all things mechanical.

Erne leaves behind his partner in crime, his wife Deb, the "spark plug" of his life. Together, they ignited countless adventures. Erne's daughters, Racheal (Tim) and Courtney (David), and his bonus sons Matthew (Sara) and Michael, were his pit crew, always ready to support him on his journey. His grandkids, Kasey (Morgan), Justin, Stryker, Atlas, Josephine (Jo), and Hazel, were his turbo boosters, bringing him endless laughter and love. And let's not forget his great-grandson Trevin, of his racing team. 

Erne's career was a well-oiled machine. For an impressive 41 years, he was the ultimate mechanic at Hertz Rent a Car, leaving no engine unturned. Starting in 1979, Erne powered through the years until his retirement in 2020. But his mechanical prowess didn't start there; he had a tireless drive for excellence, previously working at Goodyear.

In true Erne fashion, a Celebration of Life service will be held in the spring of 2024. It will be a grand pit stop, where family and friends can gather to share stories, laughter, and maybe even a few burnouts in his honor.

Erne Hesser's legacy will forever be etched in our hearts. As he takes his final lap, may his spirit continue to race through our memories, reminding us to live life in the fast lane. Rest in horsepower, Erne.
