Mary E. Dycus

1932-2023

Mary E. Dycus passed away at her daughter’s home in Aurora, CO on October 14, 2023, after a long battle with Alzheimer’s Disease. She was born March 10, 1932 in England, AR but lived most of her life in Columbus, GA.

Mary loved to eat, read, fish, and collect anything related to Elvis. She was a loving mother and beloved friend to many.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents Tommie and Julia Chambers, brother James E. Chambers, sister, Dorothy J. Williamson, and son, Richard L. Dycus. She is survived by her daughter, Elizabeth A. Dycus, brother, Harold Dean Chambers and several nieces and nephews.

Mary’s ashes will be buried next to her son, Richard Dycus, at Evergreen Cemetery in Columbus, GA. If you would like to donate in Mary’s honor, her favorite charity was St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
