Sharon Maureen (Ring) Longo

 

January 2, 1939 – November 13^th, 2023

 

We are saddened to announce the passing of Sharon Maureen Longo, she passed away peacefully with her children by her side, Monday, November 13^th, 2023.  Born in Chadron, Nebraska, Sharon moved to Colorado, which she considered home, and was a valued member of the Arvada community for over sixty years.  She was the last of five siblings, Lawrence, Albert, David, and Barbara (Colberg) Ring.

Sharon was the proud mother of five children whom she cherished and happily lived her life for.  She lived a difficult life as a single parent and endured many hardships which made her the strong resilient woman that she was known to be and will be remembered as.  Sharon is survived by her children; John (Debbie) Longo, Mark Longo, Michael (Stacy) Longo, Julie Longo, and Jackie Nordstrom.  Sharon also was the proud grandmother of eight grandchildren and four great grandchildren.  She is preceded in death by her life partner, Karl Kobe.

Services for this amazing woman will be held Thursday, December 14^th, at 11:00am at Spirit of Christ Catholic Church, Arvada, CO. A Celebration of Life reception will be held immediately after (12:30-3:30pm) at The Arvada Center for the Arts and Humanities (ballroom B/C), Arvada, CO.
