Obituary of Frank Lamirand

July 16, 1941 - November 13, 2023

In His Own Words:

Born in Fort Bragg, North Carolina to Frank and Anna Lee Lamirand, Sr., I grew up as a farm boy in Ada, OK. I loved to hunt, fish, and race Corvettes. At the age of 17, I joined the army, setting the stage for a journey that would eventually lead me to earn my masters in Education. For 45 years, I dedicated my life to teaching and serving as an elementary school principal. I also served the community as a reserve police officer for the City of Longmont.

In 1967, I married the love of my life, Carol Lynn Wehrli, and we shared 56 wonderful years together. Our family grew to include two beautiful children, Tracie and Jimmy. Tracie, a loving mother herself, has blessed us with two grandchildren, Tyson and Zachary. Jimmy (Connie) also blessed us with three grandchildren, Austin, Cade, and Jentry.

One of my greatest passions in life was team roping, a sport I pursued with enthusiasm. Competing on my favorite horse, Hollywood, brought me immense joy and fulfillment. But beyond any accomplishment or accolade, my true happiness came from the moments spent with my family and friends. I cherished every opportunity to be with them, creating lasting memories that will endure.

I was never fond of funerals, so spread my ashes among the beautiful Rocky Mountains, a place that held a special significance in my heart. I always found peace and happiness there and we will always be together anytime you visit.
