Obituary of Phyllis Jean Robinson

                                                             Phyllis Jean Robinson

                                                September 29, 1928 – December 20, 2023

 

            Phyllis Jean Robinson (Predmore)  was born in Gering, Nebraska where she lived until graduating High School in 1946. After High School she moved to Denver to attend Beauty School and was introduced to Richard Robinson on a blind date. Phyllis and Richard were married on May 29, 1947. They had three children: Tyson (1950), Terry (1952), and Susan (1954). Phyllis was a stay-at-home mom and kept the books for Richard’s home building business until 1980. She was a very loving mother, a grandmother of four, a great-grandmother of five, and a great-great-grandmother of one. Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents (Gerald and Bernice Predmore), her siblings (Lyle Predmore and Dahlman Bartlett), her husband (Richard Robinson), and her son (Terry Robinson).
            Phyllis and her family began attending Living Waters Tabernacle in 1951. Phyllis embraced the love of God and the exceeding riches of God’s grace and was a mentor of the deeper things of God to many. She taught her children rich lessons from the Bible several times a week. Phyllis and Richard were leaders of the young people’s class at Living Waters for a short time in the late 1950’s. In the 1980’s she taught a Bible class at Calvary Christian Academy in Lakewood, Colorado, where her two eldest grandchildren were students. After the school closed, she did bookkeeping for a hardware store in Centennial, and later worked at the Cookie Factory and then a candy shop, both located in Southwest Plaza.
            Phyllis lived on her own through the 1980’s and most of the 90’s. In 1995 she had a stroke, and shortly afterward moved in with her daughter and son-in-law (Sue and John Rogers and their family) until 2007. She then moved into a beautiful condo, where she lived independently until the end of 2014. Her last nine years were again spent living with the Sue and John Rogers’ family where she received loving care. She continued giving home Bible studies to her family until she couldn’t read anymore.
            Her quiet testimony was that of a dedicated, and devoted steadfast pillar of faith, whose focus remained upon Jesus, and His infinite love for her. She faithfully attended church services, and Bible studies in-person, or online until she met Jesus face-to-face.
            After 95 years Phyllis went home to be with her lovely Lord and Savior early in the morning of December 20, 2023. She truly was ready to meet Him. Phyllis will be greatly missed by her family and the many others she had an impact on.
