Obituary of Elida "Ellie" Garcia Cole

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Elida "Ellie" Garcia Cole, who passed away at her home on December 29, 2023 in Woodland Park, Colorado.

She was born to Roman and Aurora Garcia on March 5, 1946 in Brownsville, Texas. She graduated from Lamar University and went on to become an Immigration Specialist for Catholic Charities.

Preceded in death are parents Roman and Aurora Garcia.

Those left behind to cherish Ellie's memory are loving husband Michael Cole, son Colin Cole, grandchildren Jacquelynn (Michael) Allen, Katelynn Cole and Kai Cole, great grandchildren Leon Allen and Astrid Allen, sisters Odelia Gonzalez, Josie Casey and numerous extended family and friends.

A memorial service will take place on Saturday, January 20, 2024 11:00AM at Faith Presbyterian Church 1529 N. Circle Dr. Colorado Springs, CO 80909.

In lieu of flowers the family requests gifts in memory of Ellie can be made either to  the Faith Presbyterian Church Memorial Fund for youth ministry at www.faithchurch.co  or Hand in Hand: Center for Jewish-Arab Education in Israel, which is working to build peace and partnership between Jewish and Arab citizens in Israel.
