Sister to 5:

Rosemary, Shirley, Sue, Lloyd, and Janet

Grandmother to 11:

Great Grandmother to two:

Elliot Simpson and Silas Mee

And “the” Sunday school teacher to all.

She loved the Lord with all her heart and soul. She loved tennis, Coca Cola, gardening, crossword puzzles, sewing, reading, and the heat. But she loved the Lord and her family above all. And she showed her love to her family and friends through her greatest love language, acts of service and hospitality. Every meal, load of laundry, trip to the store, sock she sewed, weed she pulled, lesson she planned, and cookie she baked was for the people she loved.

And when she could no longer physically serve, she prayed for her family fiercely. Her love for her family and the Lord was always there either physically or spiritually.

She has now left us physically but the things she, Teacher Barb, taught us will always rest in our hearts.

She is with Jesus in the greatest garden ever made. We love her and miss her, but one of the world’s greatest homemakers is home now.
