Obituary of Patricia Henderson

 

Patricia "Trish" Henderson, 79, of Kansas City, MO, passed away on January 19th, 2024.

 

She was born on September 7, 1944 in Washington, DC.  She was a kind and loving friend, mother, and grandmother, who cherished spending time with her family and friends.  Trish had a passion for traveling, exploring new places, finding amazing restaurants, and sharing her joy of music.  Trish attended DePauw University and was an active member of Alpha Phi Sorority.  She valued education and believed in the power of knowledge to change the world for the better.  Trish was also a dedicated volunteer across Kansas City and a long-term supporter of the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art and the Kansas City Zoo.

 

Trish is survived by her two daughters, Amy Hutton and Stacey Sullivan, as well as her cherished grandchildren, Mason Sullivan, Joy Hutton, and Isaiah Hutton.  She is also survived by her sisters, Judy Thompson and Sara White, and her brother, Alan Henderson.  Trish was preceded in death by her father, Slick, and her mother, Bess.

 

A ceremony to celebrate Trish's life will be held at the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art in Kansas City at 2pm on February 10th, 2024.  In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that contributions be made to the Alzheimer's Foundation of America in memory of Trish.  Your support will help further research and support those affected by this disease.

 

Trish will be deeply missed.  Her memory will forever be cherished by her loved ones and friends.  May she rest in peace.
