Obituary of Ann Roning Roemer

ANN RONING ROEMER 9/6/1940-1/28/2024

 

In loving memory of a remarkable woman, Ann Roning Roemer, who was born on September 6, 1940 and died peacefully surrounded by family on January 28, 2024.  She was the daughter of Agnes and John Roning and is survived by her husband of 62 years Jerry Roemer and their two children Jeffrey D. Roemer and Jill S. Yates.  She adored her five grandchildren: JT Roemer (26), Aubyn Roemer (23), Rob Roemer (23), Carson Yates (19), and Davis Yates (13).  Ann was a Kappa Kappa Gamma at the University of Colorado where she met the love of her life Jerry and they married June 12, 1961.  She was the epitome of grace, elegance, optimism and was full of joy.  As a high school English teacher she inspired young minds and went on to model for the John Robert Powers Agency.  She was very involved with the Junior League of Denver and was a past president of the Tuesday Morning Class.  Her entrepreneurial drive led her to create an etiquette class designed for young teens.  It was called Style and was held in her home for 16 years.  Always surrounded by friends, she seamlessly blended her cooking skills with her generous spirit.  She was passionate about reading and an avid bridge player.   Her love of adventure allowed her to travel  worldwide, creating life long cherished memories.  We were all blessed by her warmth, wisdom and kindness.  Her spirit will always remain in our hearts.  

 

Per her wishes, no funeral service will be held; instead, a “party” to celebrate her life will be at a later date.
