Obituary of William R. Schroeder

William (Bill) R. Schroeder, Sr., passed away December 31, 2023, at the age of 100. He was born in Faribault, MN on May 20, 1923, and moved to Denver, Colorado in 1930. He married Pauline L. Bauman on January 30, 1943, and were married for 72 years. Pauline passed away on January 25, 2015. He is survived by 5 children, William Jr., Gary, James, Steven, Paulette Coates, 15 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, 3 great great-grandchildren, and sister Margaret (Peggy) Morey. During World War II he was sent to Anchorage, Alaska with the U.S. Engineers. He became a Denver Police Officer in 1950 and was elected to the Denver Public School Board in 1979. He was a member of the Denver Board of Realtors for over 50 years, while running his own Real Estate office, Schroeder and Company. A Memorial Service will be held February 10th at 1:00 pm at the Eastern Star Masonic Retirement Campus, 2445 So. Quebec St., Denver, CO 80123.
