Obituary of Margaret Maxine Hood

Margaret Maxine Hood, age 73, passed away on February 8, 2024 in Colorado Springs, Colorado. She was born on February 21, 1950 in Grass Valley, California to parents Donald William Wears and Dorothy Maxine Kilgore Wears.

After Margaret completed beauty school she worked for the Air Force Social Actions, while stationed in Germany. Her lifelong passion and career as a seamstress included countless wedding gowns, dresses, blankets and clothing. She was a proud Air Force wife who always took care of her family. She will be known for cooking up delicious and unforgettable meals as well as being a talented seamstress. She was a loving mother and grandmother and had a big heart for all animals. She also was an avid Green Bay Packer fan and never missed a game. 

Preceding Margaret in death are her parents Donald Wears and Dorothy Wears.

Those left behind to cherish her memory are loving husband Richard Warren Hood, son Jason, daughter Kendra, and grandchildren Cydnie, Olivia, Noah, Dakota and Jackson. 

Celebration of Life for Margaret is scheduled on March 1, 2024 from 2:30PM - 4:00PM at Banning Lewis Ranch Recreation Center, 6885 Vista Del Pico Blvd. Colorado Springs, CO 80927.

Margaret touched so many lives and will be missed by all who knew her.
