Obituary of Scott Anthony Carr

Scott Anthony Carr

Our Scott died on January 31, 2024, at the age of 63. He was an intelligent and courageous man who overcame everything life threw at him, including his muscular dystrophy. Scott conquered all with a scowl on his face and his love for the challenge.

Scott was the youngest of five children. He is survived by his sister, Sister Clare Carr and his brother, Bruce Carr. His son, Paiton Carr, his granddaughter, Avery Carr, and his Vizslas were Scott’s greatest joy in life. Scott raised Paiton as a single father and helped guide Paiton to raise Avery with the help of his girlfriend, Carmen Sanchez.

Scott ran his company, Specialized Grading (later renamed CoKan Enterprises), for over 43 years. Scott was deeply loved and respected by both his employees and colleagues due to his dedication and tenacity. He considered everyone he ever worked with as family and did his damnedest to treat them as such. He’s given numerous people jobs and opportunities they never dreamed of and has supported the growth of companies and communities throughout his lifetime.

He will be remembered for his stalwart affection for a good football game, an occasional cigar, and a satisfying vodka drink.

He will be missed dearly by all who knew him. May he rest in the company of not only his God, but of his mother, Helen, his father, Jeff, his sister, Connie, and brother, Keith.

Services will be held at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church on Tuesday, March 5, 2024, at 10:30 a.m. Internment will be held at Mt. Olivet following the services.
