Obituary of Wanda Viola Rohr

Wanda Viola Rohr was born March 4, 1941, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Alice Mae Martin Rohr and Otto Ernest Rohr. She had no brothers or sisters.

Wanda graduated from Bartlesville College High School in Bartlesville, Oklahoma on May 21, 1959. On May 26, 1963, Wanda graduated from Oklahoma State University in Stillwater, Oklahoma, with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Home Economics.

Wanda moved to Colorado and after receiving a teaching certificate, she began teaching at Freemont Elementary School in Arvada, Colorado. She taught there for 31 years. She particularly liked kindergarten and 1st graders for their inquisitive minds.

Wanda loved decorating for the holidays and was good with crafts and making holiday decorations. She also loved gardening and making her yard look beautiful with a variety of colorful flowers and yard decorations. She was also a very good cook and enjoyed sharing meals with other people.

She was active in Clear Creek Optimist Club and the retired teachers of Freemont Elementary Group.

Wanda was a member of Jefferson Avenue United Methodist Church in Wheat Ridge, Colorado. There she assisted with the annual church garage sale and the Family Promise of Greater Denver Outreach Program.

Wanda was predeceased by her parents Alice Mae and Otto Rohr. She is survived by several cousins: Hal Gore, New Braunfels, Texas; Judy Carlyle, Austin, Texas; Millie Lancaster, Hot Spring Arkansas; Rhett and Radonna Chapman, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and many friends
