I was saddened to hear of Gordie's passing, he was always a delight to be around, ready with a smile, a laugh, a joke to tell.
He hadn't joined the 'guy's at the golf course for a while, and we missed seeing him, and will going forward.

Gordon was like a younger brother to me. Our mothers were sisters and very often he visited McCook, NE and more often I'd visit Denver to be with his family. So were were together often and always had great times together. He loved the swimming pool and eating outside. He was so handsome and as he grew up the girls started looking at him in McCook and Denver. He loved the muscle-cars of the era and I learned to look for them and knew what to look for from Gordon.
Time passed, he married Melody and I was married with children, but we always kept in touch. My sister, Nancy, lived in Texas and became close to "Gordo" and his family and I got to see them when I visited the Dallas area. He visited us and met my card playing buddies when he was on business in Florida.
He and I talked on the phone and kept in touch weekly via e-mail up until he was hospitalized this last time.
Gordon was a true gentleman and a loving family man. He was blessed with a wonderful wife, daughter, and granddaughter who loved him and cared deeply for him.
I love you, cousin, rest in peace and I hope to see you one day with Jesus in our heavenly home.
