Aunt Deb, I am so very sorry for your loss. You and John Wayne shared a very special love which was quite apparent. Hold on to the memories, cherish them, and remember how much he loved you.
John Wayne welcomed us and our family to family picnics. He was a very fun loving individual who shared lots of stories. Needless to say, there are lots of people who will miss him and his friendly smile.
Please know Paul loved him and was so very happy the two of you had each other. Take care of yourself and remember all the people who need you and love you.

Wayne, you were a charming rogue. A pirate and renaissance man with a heart of gold and a 100 watt smile. Principled and unyielding in morals, so wonderfully committed to friends and family, especially your beautiful Debra. The love and support for each other was clear to all who knew you. You were a lifelong friend and will be greatly missed but celebrated. We will keep you forever in our hearts and cherish the memories of all those "good times".

Wayne it’s was great to have you as part of our family, and we always enjoyed having you at all our family gatherings. We will cherish your invite for the 4th of July which I knew was yours and Aunt Deb’s favorite holiday. The love you and Aunt Deb shared was apparent and she will keep you in her heart forever. We will miss the friendly dinner bets for our favorite bronco and raiders game’s, you always stood by your team no matter what. We will miss you.Love the Trujillo family

John Wayne I knew you best thru Deb’s eyes, you were the center of her world and a best friend and partner at her side. The Love you to shared was always so evident. The love of your garden and sharing memories of past times in the military. You will be missed tremendously, sitting on your back patio and enjoying beautiful Colorado and those dang rabbits that stole your strawberries. You will forever be a dear friend in my heart, I can not wait to see that cheeky smile again in Heaven you sweet man.
Deb~Thank you for all the stories we shared each day, you are like a sister to me. I am so saddened by the loss of the love of your life, make no mistake about it he is smiling down at you. And he can hear you when you speak to him.

“Hi handsome” I’d say each time I saw you, and you’d always reply, “Hello there, darlin’.” I’m grateful to still hear your voice clearly in my mind, I can also see that little smirk that came along with it, followed by a big hug. Wayne, your presence has always been bigger than life, in the many roles you played. To me you were a wonderful neighbor and friend, a fantastic conversationist and the epitome of a man who lived and loved by his morals and values. I laugh remembering you offering me “lettuce” from your garden and your wild stories of your time in Germany. I laugh thinking about how stubborn you could be, some of the arguments we had about parking too close to your driveway or dog poop in the yard. All the while, Debra stood beautiful and smiling by your side, shaking her head, always honoring your wild side but making sure you let us all see the giant softy you really were at heart. I miss you and hope you knew how special and important you were to me, how much I appreciated your humor and authenticity, your encouragement, and your unconditional support throughout the last nearly 20 years. Rest in peace, handsome.
Debra, Wayne wouldn’t have been Wayne without you and your love – you brought out the best in him and he loved you so very much. You two have long been extended members of our family and we will make sure it remains that way, neither we nor Wayne would have it any other way. I can’t wait to be home again to hug you, share memories and have a good cry together. So incredibly sorry for your loss, we are here for you. Sending you both all my love, Becca

Wayne, I fell blessed to call you a friend. I will remember your humor, heart, and generosity for all my days. You always had time to share a story or provide valuable gardening advice over the fence. Mostly you made me laugh and reminded me not to take myself too seriously. You will be missed more than you could ever know.
Debra, you are loved and thought of every day. I am so very sorry for your loss.
