We played golf, poker, art/wine walks and years ago worked together. I have to say Mike was the most true, honest and dedicated person we ever knew. He was real and one of the great characters in our life. We will miss you. Rest in Peace my friend.

I loved Michael. He was my TWA ski buddy. One of many memories —He made me take off my skis because there was no snow and made me hike until we found some all in order to ski some god damn steep run at A basin. He also loved to kick me out of my ski bindings. He will be in my memories forever. My condolences to everyone in his family.

So many memories from being one of the first friends of second grade at South Lakewood, to wrestling at LHS and then on to being roomates at CU. On Mike's 21st birthday, we were on our way out to celebrate but Mike decided to fry some chicken up for dinner. He forgot that he put the stove on high and black smoke bellowed out from the pan. I was washing dishes and our other roomate, Kp, told me to throw water from the sink onto the fire. Mike yelled 'NO' but it was too late. The apartment was ruined. Mike never let me forget it. But with our nights at 'Your Father's Mustache', volley ball at Chips, the greatest party Lakewood has ever had at 2215 Kipling, and so many more memories, Mike kinda forgot about me burning down the apartment.
I got to ski with Mike on his very last run of his career, last May. He looked great and skied just like the Mike of old. When I heard Mike had passed, it hit me hard. Mike was a great guy, and the memories I have about him cannot this page contain. We'll miss you Mike.
