My brother and I were 5 years apart and did not really hang out as kids. Our respective college years and army stints followed by his relocation to CO and mine to CT prevented frequent get togethers. In more recent years, we spoke by 'phone on our birthdays that kept us up to date with our individual situations as well as that of our families. I will miss those annual calls.
Circumstances prevent me from attending the celebration of his life, but my wife Maria and I extend our sympathies to Alyssa, Nathan and their families. Our thanks to them for taking such good care of Don following his wife Cindi's death.

What can I say, Don was a FRIEND of mine for over 70 years. I was one year behind at #23 School, we worked together as D&C newspaper delivery kids, one year behind at Monroe HS. Then when he returned from the Army we were classmates at RIT; studied together and graduated together in June 1968. We have corresponded, phoned and visited all these years; last phone call just last month in mid January 2022. My wife Wendy, classmate of his wife Cindy at Highland Hospital, will MISS HIM & continue to MISS CINDY very much!! Jim & Wendy Barr

Here are two pictures: One with me and Jeff Gregory at a piano demonstration and one of Don at a monthly piano performance group.

I have so many happy memories of sitting at the piano with Don, playing Irving Berlin, Frank Sinatra, and all the songs from the 40s. If he didn't know the trivia for a song, we would look it up on the internet. I feel like an extended part of the grandfather because I hear about the grandkids at every lesson. Whenever he got a new music book, he would look to see if it had "How Are Things in Glocca Morra. I shall miss him, but remember all our time with love.
