Obituary of David Frederick Varner

 

Dave Frederick Varner, aged 62, died in his home in Centennial Colorado on March 2, 2022.

 

Dave was born in Midland, Michigan to Lester and Reva Jean Varner.

 

Dave attended school in Ann Arbor, Michigan, in the field of Information Technology. He had a long career as a specialist in information technology for major corporations around Denver.

 

Dave is survived by his wife, Kym, of 24 years; his Father Lester Varner; Siblings, Sherri Mills, Brian Varner, and Steve Varner; Nieces, Nephews, Grand Niece, and Grand Nephews.

 

Dave is preceded in death by his Mother Reva Jean Varner.

 

Dave will be missed.  He was kind, full of life, had a great sense of humor and wonderful loving temperament.  Dave cherished his time with family and friends.  He loved having family over for special occasions, hosting holidays and summer barbeques.  Dave loved to cook, and at one time considered becoming a chef, but decided to keep cooking for the benefit of his friends.

 

Dave was always outside; this was his love.  Camping, hunting, fishing and especially gardening kept him outside, and enjoying what nature had for him.  As winter approached, he would move inside and tie fly fishing lures, watch his favorite sports and enjoy a good book. Time inside was a chance to work on the rewards from his garden, making salsas, canning, and pickling the summer harvest. 

 

Dave was a special man, loved by all his family and friends and all are better for having known him.

 

A celebration of David’s life and sharing of memories will be on May 7, 2022, at The Lone Tree Hub, 8827 Lone Tree Parkway, Lone Tree Colorado 80124.  From 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM.
